Community

The city of Elmwood, along with the Elmwood School District, is on the grow. In Elmwood, you will find a small city with a big heart – great schools, affordable living, attractive housing, and a low crime rate. There is a strong public spirit within the community, with many cultural, employment, and entertainment opportunities. Some of our community events include the annual Strawberry Festival, Fall Festival, and Holiday Tour of Homes.

From a housing perspective, Elmwood offers the best of both worlds. There are older, Victorian homes available, as well as newly constructed properties near a golf course. Best of all, Elmwood is a short drive to Peoria – only 25 minutes.
