Just like the tree that our school system (and city) is named after, the Elmwood Community Schools are sustained by deep roots, which have helped us to grow into one of the top school districts in Illinois. Elmwood schools are financially solid, having received the highest financial rating possible from the Illinois State Board of Education for the past 7 years. Recently, we were ranked in the top 5% of schools statewide. We are accomplishing this with academics, technology, scholarships and, of course, a strong sense of community.
